Terms of Service

Last updated August 11, 2026 · HiringFleet

The short version

  • Your résumé stays yours. You keep every right to what you upload and to what the product generates for you. We only get permission to run the service.
  • Our score is an estimate, not a verdict. It comes from our own model of how applicant tracking systems read a document. No employer’s real ATS is consulted, and a 85 does not guarantee an interview.
  • Upload your own résumé. Don’t upload someone else’s without their permission, and don’t use the product to invent experience.
  • You can leave whenever you like, and take your data with you, from Settings.

1. This agreement

These terms are a contract between you and HiringFleet (“we”, “us”), covering your use of FolioATS. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. What FolioATS does

FolioATS analyses a résumé against a job description and reports how readable and how well-matched it is, then helps you improve it. It includes a scanner, an optimiser, a résumé builder and a cover letter drafting tool.

FolioATS is not a recruitment agency, an employer, a career counsellor or a legal adviser. We do not submit applications for you, we do not forward your résumé to any employer, and we have no relationship with the companies whose job descriptions you paste in.

3. Your account

  • You need an account, and you must be at least 16 years old to have one.
  • Give us accurate sign-in details and keep access to your email secure — anyone who controls your inbox or your linked provider account can reach your résumés.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per person. Don’t share logins.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t:

  • Upload a résumé belonging to someone else unless they have asked you to work on it. The document contains their personal data, and you need their permission to put it here.
  • Use the service to fabricate qualifications, employment, education or credentials. The product is built to present real experience well; using it to invent experience is a misuse of it and is your responsibility, not ours.
  • Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, infringing or hateful.
  • Scrape the service, resell it, or run automated bulk requests against it. Each AI request costs us real money.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the system.
  • Reverse engineer the scoring model, or use the output to build a competing service.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

5. What the score means, and what it doesn’t

The FolioATS score is our own assessment. It is produced by our model of how applicant tracking systems parse and rank documents, informed by how those systems are known to behave. It is not a reading taken from any real employer’s ATS, and it is not endorsed by, affiliated with or verified by any ATS vendor. No such vendor offers an interface that would make that possible.

Employers configure their systems differently, weight criteria differently, and in many cases a human reads the résumé first. Consequently:

  • A high score does not guarantee an interview, a response, or a job.
  • A low score does not mean you will be rejected.
  • Scoring the same résumé after we improve the model may produce a different number.

We think the score is useful and we work to keep it honest. Treat it as informed guidance about a document, not as a prediction about a hiring decision.

6. AI-generated content

Suggestions, rewrites, generated résumés and cover letters are produced by large language models. These models make mistakes: they can misread a date, overstate a result, or phrase something in a way that does not reflect what you actually did.

You are responsible for what you submit to an employer. Review every change before you accept it — the product shows each one before and after for exactly this reason — and make sure the finished document is true. Misrepresenting your background to an employer can cost you a job offer, and that consequence is yours, not ours.

7. Who owns what

Your content

You keep all rights to the résumés, job descriptions and other material you upload, and to the documents the service generates for you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process and transmit that content solely to provide the service to you — including sending it to the AI providers named in our Privacy Policy. That licence exists only so the product can function, ends when you delete the content or your account, and does not permit us to publish your content, show it to anyone else, or train models on it.

Our content

The software, scoring model, templates, guidance and branding are ours or our licensors’. You may use them through the service; you may not copy or redistribute them. Résumés you export are yours to use however you like.

8. Availability, beta status and pricing

FolioATS is in beta. Features may change or be withdrawn, and there may be interruptions. We do not offer an uptime guarantee.

The service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans we will say so clearly in advance, and we will not start charging for something you are already using without telling you first.

We take reasonable care to keep your data safe, but keep your own copy of anything important. Export from Settings at any time.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using FolioATS at any time and delete your account from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Unless the reason is a serious breach, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and we make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the scores or suggestions are accurate or complete, or that using FolioATS will result in an interview or a job.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, lost employment, lost earnings or lost data arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when the terms themselves change, not on every deployment. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use FolioATS after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
